Electric Boats to Set Sail in Delhi — As Featured in The Times of India

BC 63 E-Kruzz

Big things are happening on the waters of Delhi and BoatCraft is at the heart of it. According to a recent report by The Times of India, electric boats will soon cruise along a 4 km stretch of the Yamuna River from Sonia Vihar to Jagatpur — starting December 2025. We’re proud to share that BoatCraft Services Private Limited has officially secured the order to build these electric boats for this prestigious government-backed initiative. It’s a defining moment not just for us, but for the future of eco-tourism and green transport in India.

What’s Coming to Delhi?

  • Two new jetties at Sonia Vihar will welcome passengers onto 100% electric, zero-emission boats.
  • Cruises will take visitors along a scenic, rejuvenated stretch of the Yamuna River.
  • A stunning musical water projection show will bring alive Delhi’s culture and the river’s legacy.
  • All infrastructure will follow eco-friendly practices — including the use of portable containers instead of concrete, fully in line with National Green Tribunal (NGT) guidelines.

This pioneering project is being driven by a collaboration between the Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI), DTTDC, and other government agencies. And now, BoatCraft is proud to be the trusted manufacturer behind the vessels that will power this experience.
